Looking for something fun and unique for your kids to do this summer? Then sign them up for a week of USF Hillel's Kosher Cooking Camps. Your children will have a great time in the kitchen with our volunteer home cooks - learning kitchen basics and cooking up some of our favorite Jewish delicacies.

 

Kosher Cooking Camp will be offered for two weeks at the beginning of the summer.

  • Session 1 is Tuesday through Friday (four days), May 30th through June 2nd

  • Session 2 is Monday through Friday (five days), June 5th through June 9th

 

Times for both weeks of camp are 10am to Noon for kids ages 8-12 (limit 10 student cooks per session) and 2-4pm for teens ages 13-17 (limit 15 student cooks per session). Classes are full week only; no single day enrollments are available.

Cost for Session 1 is $180. Cost for Session 2 is $225.

 

Camps will be held at the USF Hillel Kitchen and Dining Room at the Morris and Bertha Escoll Center for Jewish Campus Life located at 13101 USF Sycamore Drive in Tampa. All cooking camps will be taught by trained volunteer home cooks from the Bay Area community.All camps include Tastings, Recipes, Social Activities, Snacks and a USF Hillel apron.

USF Hillel's recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If your child has a food allergy, please contact Suncoast Hillels before registering for the camp. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during the camps.
