About

The University of South Florida was founded in 1956 as the first public university in Florida established specifically to address the needs of the State’s rapidly emerging urban regions. While the University’s origins were as a commuter college, a vibrant residential program with beautiful residence halls on campus, and a fantastic athletics programs, GO BULLS, have been catalysts for the changing culture of the University of South Florida.

Like the University, USF Hillel is also changing. Jewish life on campus is growing as more Jewish students from outside the Tampa Bay area attend the University. With Jewish fraternities like AEPi and ZBT, a growing Israel advocacy program, weekly Hebrew classes and of course, Shabbat services and dinner every week, as well as our weekly Sunday morning Bagel Brunch, there are plenty of options for Jewish students to take part in Jewish life at the University of South Florida.
