If you’re looking for a place where every single Jewish student makes a difference, then Eckerd College is the place for you. Eckerd Hillel is what we like to think of as a “Start-Up” Hillel. As Jewish students see the unique opportunities which Eckerd offers (as shown in Loren Pope’s Book Colleges That Change Lives) the number of Jews coming to our school has increased. We are especially fortunate that since 1991 Professor Elie Weisel has been a member of the Eckerd College faculty during our winter session.
With excellent academics in a tropical, resort-like setting, tremendous support from the college administration to build Jewish life and a campus rabbi, Eckerd College is a great place to be a Jewish student.
Our Hillel is all about student empowerment, so if there is something Jewish you would like to see on campus, step right up and let’s make it happen.
